This is "Castellar" an all porcelain doll kit from Dana of Miniature Art. You will find a link to her site on my "Doll Links" pages.  Dana's site is a marvelous place to find dolls, supplies and instructions.  You really must check it out.

I used wool roving for his hair and beard.  I put a thin wire in the hem of his robe so that I could shape it to look as though it was caught by the wind.  His "staff" is made from a bamboo skewer, gold beads and a pearl corsage pin.  I made him to go in my "Spell book" project.  The "Spell book" was a project done online with a miniature group guided by Roz Weizman of From the Heart.  This was a really great miniature site.  However, it is no longer in existence.  There were on-line kit classes and lots of Do-It-Yourself projects.
